I designed this for my sister, a true beagle lover, who has rescued many homeless beagles over the years. Several years ago I had started a cross stitch afghan for her, but severe carpal tunnel syndrome ended my cross stitching and I never finished the afghan. After I made this bag, I wore it to our family Thanksgiving dinner. When she saw it and admired it, I took it off and slipped it over her head, and told her it was designed for her. My father even choked back a few tears. The pattern was published in Bead and Button #43.
